Answered plainly, including the ones we'd rather you knew now than later.
What does it actually feel like?
Cold, clean and quite strong. The peppermint and menthol arrive within a few seconds of rolling it on, and the cooling feeling holds for a while before it fades.
Most people describe it as similar to a cold flannel on the forehead, but it lasts longer and you don't have to keep rewetting it. The scent is noticeable but it doesn't linger on your clothes.
If you dislike strong mint smells, this probably isn't for you — and that's worth knowing before you order rather than after.
Where exactly do I put it?
Three places, in this order:
Both temples — a small circle on each side
Across the forehead — one line above the eyebrows
The back of the neck — where it meets your hairline
Then sit down and breathe slowly for a minute.
Never near your eyes. It stings badly. Wash your hands afterwards, and if any gets in your eye, rinse with plenty of cool water.
How long does one bottle last?
A 10 ml bottle holds roughly [N] applications. Used a few times a day, most people find one bottle lasts around a month.
Keep the cap screwed on tight — these are oils, and they'll slowly evaporate if the bottle is left open. Store it somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight.
Can I use it with my medication?
This goes on your skin, not inside you, so it isn't a tablet to balance against another tablet. But we're not able to advise you on your medication, and we won't pretend otherwise.
Please ask your doctor or pharmacist before using it if you take any regular medicine. It's a two-minute question for them and it's the right answer for you.
Do not use it instead of medication prescribed to you.
Who shouldn't use it?
Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding — it contains feverfew, which isn't recommended in pregnancy
Children under 12
Anyone allergic to the daisy family — chamomile, ragweed, marigold, chrysanthemum
On broken or irritated skin, or anywhere near the eyes
Try a small patch first on the inside of your arm and leave it 24 hours, especially if your skin reacts easily. Stop using it if you get redness, stinging or itching.
What is this, and what is it not?
It's a cosmetic roll-on for your skin. Botanical oils that give a strong cooling feeling where you put them, in a bottle small enough to carry anywhere.
It is not a medicine. It doesn't diagnose, treat, cure or prevent anything, and we're not going to tell you it does. If something you read elsewhere promises more than that, be careful — those promises usually aren't allowed to be made.
Please see a doctor if your headaches are new, getting worse, unusually severe, or come with fever, a stiff neck, confusion, weakness, trouble speaking, or changes in your vision. Those need proper medical attention, and quickly.
